The House of Lords has voted pro-landlord amendments into the Renters' Rights Bill. This is unacceptable. Email your MP now to strip these out of the Bill before it becomes law.
The Renters’ Rights Bill has just finished it's final stages in the House of Lords. Disapointingly, some members used their position of power to vote in pro-landlord amendments, driven by self-interest to weaken legislation promised to England's 12 million renters.
Pressure your MP to stand up for renters and make sure the government strips out these amendments. Renters have already waited six years for reform, at least make it worth the wait. Use this draft to ask them to:
1. Put pressure on the Minister to strip out pro-landlord amendments
2. Speak up for renters in the final stages of the Bill before it becomes law
All in just in a couple of minutes! Please enter your postcode into the box below. When you press 'continue' you will be able to see a draft email ready to be sent to your MP. It's as easy as that.
If you can and have the time, we encourage you to amend the email to include your motivation for being part of the campaign for renters’ rights, including your experience of private renting or that of someone you know, as MPs can be more receptive to reading an email which has been personalised.
